A VERY SPECIAL MEAL !

Once there was a very poor and devoted woman who always prayed to the Glory of God, asking very little, if anything for herself. But one thought, one desire continued to recur and finally she asked: petitioning the Lord, that if it were possible she would love to prepare a special meal and have God share at her table. And God, in His Love for this goodly woman, said He would indeed come the next day and share a meal.

Filled with ecstasy, the woman went out the following morning with her meager purse and purchased such delicacies that she felt would please the Lord.Returning home, she prepared a banquet and waited patiently for her most honored guest. Soon there was a knock on the door, and when she opened it, there stood an old beggar asking for something to eat. Being a woman of God, she could not turn the beggar away, so she invited him in to partake of her table. The beggar felt as if he was in a dream - such a feast set before him. He finished all the food, thanked his hostess and left. The woman was only slightly disheartened, she gathered up her purse, her coat, and hurried back to town to get more food for her special guest. Her funds were less now and so the food was not quite so elaborate. Nonetheless, she lovingly prepared another meal and sat to await the arrival of the Almighty.A few hours went by and there was a loud knock on the door.

This time it was an old gypsy woman with no teeth, who was deaf, who spoke quite loudly and was, rather rudely, insisting that any true believer in the Lord would not deny her something to eat.Though the woman had no more money with which to buy more supplies, she invited the woman in and offered her a seat at the table. The gypsy ate everything, did not even thank the woman and left without closing the door.By now it was beginning to get dark both inside and out. The woman's faith was strong, so that, though somewhat distraught, she did not give up, but rather, looked around her humble house to see if there was anything she could sell in order to buy more food to set before the Lord. She hurried to town with a little silver cup that had been in her family for several generations, but she was willing to part with it for the great honor that God was going to bestow on her - the sharing of a meal.

Late in the night she rushed home to prepare yet a third meal. She waited and waited until, once more, there was a knock on the door. Holding her breath, she slowly opened the door to find yet another poor man in the guise of a wandering monk, in search of a meal.Again, she offered hospitality, with as much grace as she could muster in her disappointment. This man also ate all that was set on the table and left after blessing the woman for her kindness. So discouraged and dismayed was she that all she could do was nod slightly, in acknowledgment of the thanks. Now it was too late, with no way to buy any more food and no more money with which to buy it.

She got down on her knees, weeping such heart-broken tears. She asked God what she had done wrong. Why had God not come to share at the table as He had promised? And God, in all His Divine Compassion and Mercy, lifted the woman off her knees, and holding her close to His Heart, said, "My child, I enjoyed your hospitality so much that I came three times!"

IMPORTANT TO KNOW IMPORTANCE !!

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked stone & scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger, the man took the child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child say his father.... with painful eyes he asked "Dad when will my fingers grow back?" Man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions...... sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches, child had written "LOVE YOU DAD".

TO BE OR NOT TO BE - SHAKESPEARS HAMLET

Is it better to live or to die?

Origin

To be or not to be is probably the best-known line from all drama or literature. Certainly, if anyone is asked to quote a line of Shakespeare this is the one that first comes to mind for most people. It is, of course, from Shakespeare's play Hamlet, 1603 (Shakespeare's actual title is - The tragedie of Hamlet, prince of Denmarke):
HAMLET:To be, or not to be: that is the question:

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.--Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.

What Hamlet is musing on is the comparison between the pain of life, which he sees as inevitable (the sea of troubles - the slings and arrows - the heart-ache - the thousand natural shocks) and the fear of the uncertainty of death and of possible damnation of suicide.
Hamlet's dilemma is that although he is dissatisfied with life and lists its many torments, he is unsure what death may bring (the dread of something after death). He can't be sure what death has in store; it may be sleep but in perchance to dream he is speculating that it is perhaps an experience worse than life. Death is called the undiscover'd country from which no traveller returns.

In saying that Hamlet is acknowledging that, not only does each living person discover death for themselves, as no one can return from it to describe it, but also that suicide os a one-way ticket. If you get the judgment call wrong, there's no way back.

ITALIAN TOMATO GARDEN !! ; )

An old Italian man lived alone in the country. He wanted to dig his tomatogarden, but it was very hard work as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

Dear Vincent,I am feeling pretty badly because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would behappy to dig the plot for me.
Love, Dad

A few days later he received a letter from his son:

Dear Dad,Don't dig up that garden. That's where I buried the bodies.Love, Vinnie

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dugup the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old manand left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son:

Dear Dad,Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now.
That's the best I could do under the circumstances.Love you, Vinnie...... ....

THE SPEECH

A schoolmaster from a remote rural area was transferred to a school in Bombay. He reported for duty two days before August 15 and, as was the practice in the school, was asked to address the assembly on Independence Day. Here's his dynamite speech : "Leddies and Gentulmens,Contemporaries, Childrens, this is my first maiden speech. If small small mistakes get inside my speech, I ask pardon. Stickly speaking, I wanted to joint your school more fastly, but too much time lost in getting slipperreservation in three-tyre compartment. The clerk rejected to give ticket. I put complaint on station master. He said me to go to lady clerk. At first she also rejected. I then pressed her for long time and at last with great difficulty she gave a birth (berth) only to my son. Anyway I am thanked the station master because he was responsible for getting birth to my son. We are got independent because of great leaders like Gandhiji who get-outted all Angrezi peoples from India. Tilak said Swaraj is our birth-rate and we shall halve it. Today we all halve ourbirth-rate.You children are future dynamic generators of the Nation. Look into future time only. No backside looking, or looking at your behind.Be like great like Jahawarlal Nheru or president like Loosebelt. You are knowing genius, no? It is one per cent perspiration andninety seven percent evaporation. They are become great by reading great books. After we finish you here in the school, you can go to college and getB.A., M.A. and other decrease. Then you can become great liars in the supreme courts, shattered accountants, or leacherers in college. The school is like a garden. You are the seeds, school is the soil.We will bury you in this soil, pour water of knowledge on yourheads and one day you will become great phools. Many vacancy job come in newspapers. Yesterday only I saw in paper "Wanted for refuted engineering firm: Generators, highpower condensors" so and so etc. These jobs may be teknickel, but you can rise. If you haveflare in English, you can become teacher.I am now ending this fastly because time is running away. My Godblast you! Thank you and thank the God I am finished. Joy Hind!"

LOVE TO FULLEST;)

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 a.m., when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him look at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer' s Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?" He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is." I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

ISNT IT STRANGE??

Isn't it strange how a 20 rupee note seems like such a large amount when you donate it to temple, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at Temple and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bhagwad Gita, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel ?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games, but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Jagran?

Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for Temple 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others, but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say, but we question the words in the Bhagwad Gita?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven, but they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there

Isn't it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away, but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?

HOW MANY REALISE THIS??

This story tells us something about LOVE & LIFE.

My husband is S/W Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders. Two years of courtship and now, five years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings. I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband is my complete opposite; his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about LOVE.

One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce. "Why? " he asked, shocked. "I am tired. There are no reasons for everything in the world !" I answered.

He kept silent the whole night, seemingly in deep thought. My feeling of disappointment only increased.
Here was a man who was not able to even express his predicament, so what else could I expect from him?
And finally he asked me: "What can I do to change your mind?" Somebody said it right... It's hard to change a person's personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him.
Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered: "Here is the question. If you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind. Let's say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death. Will you do it for me?"

He said: " I will give you your answer tomorrow...." My hopes just sank by listening to his response.

I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes.... My dear, "I would not pick that flower for you, but....please allow me to explain the reasons further.....
This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading. "When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen. I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs.
You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you.
You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city.
I have to save my eyes to show you the way.
You always have the cramps whenever your "good friend" approaches every month. I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.
You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism.
I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom. You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes.
I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails and help to remove those annoying white hairs.
So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand...and tell you the colour of flowers, just like the colour of the glow on your young face...
Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do... I could not pick that flower yet, and die ... " My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting... And as I continue on reading... "Now, that you have finished reading my answer, and if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk... I rushed to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread....
Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone... That's LIFE, and LOVE.

When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness. Love shows up in all forms; even in very small and cheeky forms. It has never been a model. It could be the dullest and most boring form ... Flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands... AND THAT'S LIFE

INDIA Vs INDIA

There are two Indias in this country.

One India is straining at the leash, eager to spring forth and live up to all the
Adjectives that the world has been showering recently upon us.

The other India is the leash.

One India says, give me a chance and I’ll prove myself .The other India says, prove yourself first and may be then you’ll have a chance.

One India lives in the optimism of our hearts. The other India lurks in the skepticism of our minds.

One India wants. The other India hopes.
One India leads. The other India follows.

But conversions are on the rise .With each passing day more
And more people from the other India have been coming over to this side.
And quietly, while the world is not looking,a pulsating, dynamic new India is emerging.

An India whose faith in success is far greater than its fear of failure.
An India that no longer boycotts foreign-made goods but buys out the companies that make them instead.

History ,they say,is a bad motorist. It rarely ever signals its intentions when it is taking
A turn.

This is that rarely ever moment.History is turning a page.

For more than half a century, our nation has sprung, stumbled, run, fallen, rolled over, got up,
Dusted herself and cantered, sometimes lurched on but today,as we begin our 60th year as free nation, the ride has brought us to the edge of time’s great precipice.

And one India –a tiny little voice at the back of the head-is looking down at the bottom of the ravine and hesitating

The other India is looking up at the sky and saying ,its time to fly..

HOSPITAL WINDOW

A great note for all to read it will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a paradepassing by.Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it. In his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.Days and weeks passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.Slowly, painfully,he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this windowThe nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy."Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."

HEY WHO SAYS WE ARE NOT POSITIVE ?LETS CHECK!!

There was once a farmer who trained his dog to walk over water. To show off his dog's unique ability,he invited his friend for a shoot. He shot a bird which fell into the river. He then commanded his dog to fetch it.The dog happily ran over the surface of the water and brought back the bird.

The farmer looked at his friend and waited for a comment. When there was none,he asked his friend if he noticed something different in his dog.

The farmer's friend said,"yes,I notice your dog cant swim!!!"

This is exactly what we do.Some of us see the hole and some see the doughnut, some see the glass as half full and some half empty. Our lives will change according to how we see the world.

WANNA OVERCOME THE SHORT TEMPERAMENT??

Once upon a time there was a farmer .He had a son who was very short tempered .As a result ,he would get into arguments and fights and as a result spoilt relationships. The farmer decided to teach him a lesson. He told his son that every time he gets angry,he should hammer a nail into a very beautiful table that the family owned.

The first day the son had to hammer 28nails and after dinner,he told his father about it.The next day,he was more conscious about his anger and he had to hammer in only 20 nails. Finally, there came a day when he did not have to hammer a single nail.He went to his father beaming from ear to ear.His father was very happy .He went to his father beaming from ear to ear.His father was very happy. He said “son, now for every anger free day that you have ,take out one nail.”

The son did that and soon,he had taken out all the nails. He went back to his father and told him that he had taken out all the nails. His father was again very happy and together they went to the beautiful table. The farmer made him stand three feet away from the table and asked him to examine it.He told the boy how disfigured the table looked with all the holes in it.

“It will never be the same again. When you say things in anger ,they will leave scras like these. No matter how sorry you feel later on,the hurt will linger.Things said in anger are as bad as causing physical wounds.”

Scratch your minds and find out the moral and work on it.!!

ATTITUDE OF PERFECTION

Once there was a swamiji, who was on a journey with his disciples. As darkness approached he called for the rest and announced that he will bake chappatis that night.
The disciples were thrilled for they had never seen their guru baking chappatis.Wood was cut,a fire started, dough was kneaded and swamiji was raedy to bake chappatis on the tawa. The first one was a complete failure with the chappati being burnt. When he tried to take it off the tawa it broke into hundred pieces. But swamiji was totally satisfied with his work and said , “perfect”.This surprised the brood of disciples. Then at the second attempt the chappati turned out triangular with holes and edges were burnt. When he scrapped it off the tawa he again uttered “perfect”.
The disciples were even more surprised .The third one turned out to be square and that too broke into many pieces. He had to literally shovel the pieces off the tawa, and he again said “perfect”.By this time ,one of them was ready to pull his hair out.He blurted,”Swamiji, why are you making a fool out of us? Not even one chappati is round ,yet you call them all perfect.”
Swamiji smiled and said, “I was waiting for you to ask me this question. You see,you could not have eaten the dry flour, you would have choked on it.You couldn’t have eaten the wet dough. It would have got stuck in your throats. To prevent you all from going to sleep hungry,I had to bake it.That is what I have done.Who said that for a chappati to be perfect,it has to be round?
Perfection is only your perception of things.”

In Gods world ,everything is perfect. It is only one perception of how things should be that makes it imperfect.

ATTITUDE OF SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS

There was once a holy man who was meditating under a tree.Suddenly a young man who seemed extremely distressed, ran up to him and said that people were after him for a robbery that he did not commit. If they catch him, they will cut off his hands .So he was going to hide in the tree.He also pleaded with the holy man not to tell his pursuers.

Shortly,an equally agitated group of people arrived and asked him if he had seen a boy go past. The holy man pointed upwards into the branches and the boy was caught and his hands were chopped off.

When the holy man died,he was asked by God,as to why he did not protect the boy.The holy man said, “I was a holy man and lying was not in my character.I would have lost my selfrespect had I lied.”

God said, “No ! You were wrong.
Just for your self righteousness, you sacrified the young man who had come to you for help. What good did you do him or to yourself?”

I LOVE KIDS COZ...

Little Bobby came into the kitchen where his mother was making dinner. His birthday was coming up and he thought this was a good time to tell his mother what he wanted."Mom, I want a bike for my birthday." Little Bobby was a bit of a troublemaker. He had gotten into trouble at school and at home.Bobby's mother asked him if he thought he deserved to get a bike for his birthday.Little Bobby, of course, thought he did.Bobby's mother wanted Bobby to reflect on his behavior over the last year."Go to your room, Bobby, and think about how you have behaved this year. Then write a letter to God and tell him why you deserve a bike for your birthday." Little Bobby stomped up the steps to his room and sat down to write God a letter.

Letter 1>

Dear God,

I have been a very good boy this year and I would like a bike for my birthday. I want a red one.

Your friend,

Bobby

Bobby knew that this wasn't true. He had not been a very good boy this year, so he tore up the letter and started over.

Letter 2>

Dear God,

This is your friend Bobby. I have been a good boy this year and I would like a red bike for my birthday.Thank you.

Your friend

Bobby

Bobby knew that this wasn't true either. So, he tore up the letter and started again.

Letter 3>

Dear God,

I have been an "OK "boy this year. I still would really like a bike for my birthday.

Bobby

Bobby knew he could not send this letter to God either. So, Bobby wrote a fourth letter.

Letter 4>

Dear God,

I know I haven't been a good boy this year. I am very sorry.I will be a good boy if you just send me a bike for my birthday. Please!

Thank you,

Bobby

Bobby knew, even if it was true, this letter was not going to get him a bike. Now, Bobby was very upset. He went downstairs and told his mom that he wanted to go to church.Bobby's mother thought her plan had worked, as Bobby looked very sad."Just be home in time for dinner," Bobby's mother told him.Bobby walked down the street to the church on the corner.Little Bobby went into the church and up to the altar. He looked around to see if anyone was there.Bobby bent down and picked up a statue of the Mary.He slipped the statue under his shirt and ran out of the church, down the street, into the house, and up to his room.He shut the door to his room and sat down with a piece of paper and a pen.Bobby began to write his letter to God.

Letter 5>

God,>

I'VE KIDNAPPED YOUR MAMA. IF YOU WANT TO SEE HER AGAIN, SEND THE BIKE!!!!!!!!!!

THE CALL

An American decided to write a book about famous churches around the
world. So he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to china. On his first day he was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read "$10,000percall". The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for. The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God. The American thanked the priest and went along his way.

Next stop was in japan. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it.He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in china and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was. She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000he could talk to God."O.K., thank you," said the American. He then traveled to pakistan, srilanka, russia, Germany and France. In every church he saw the same golden telephone with the same "$10,000 per call" sign under it. The American, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel to up to India to see if Indians had the same phone. He arrived in India, and again, in the first church he entered, there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read "One Rupee
per call." The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign.
"Father, I've traveled all over World and I've seen this same golden
telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but in the US the price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?" The priest smiled and answered, "You're in God's country India now,son -it's a local call”

An amazing Love Story

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home.... suddenly he asked the waiter. "would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee."
Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously; why you have this hobby? He replied: "when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there". While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.
That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.
They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!
Then the story was just like every beautiful love story , the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee e, as she knew that's the way he liked it.
After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead.I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything..
Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again".
Her tears made the letter totally wet.Someday, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee?
It's sweet. She replied.
Love is not 2 forget but 2 forgive, not 2 c but 2 understand, not 2 hear but 2 listen, not 2 let go but 2 HOLD ON !!!!
